The Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has again extended support to residents of her council by empowering small scale business owners with cash grants and also supporting the welfare of others.
The cash grants were presented to 300 beneficiaries at the second edition of the Ijede LCDA’s cash grant to the residents at a programme held at the council secretariat on Monday.
According to her, the initiative is aimed at supporting business owners and to ease financial pressures, by providing cash support to residents, and local traders. Beneficiaries included artisans, market women, roadside shops owners, places of worship, people living with disabilities (PWD), and the elderly.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba stated that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and would be implemented in batches.
“This intervention is to support your businesses and provide relief for daily livelihoods, especially during this festive period and every beneficiary will receive the sum of ₦50,000,” she said.

Responding on behalf of beneficiaries, Mr. Olopade, a visually impaired recipient, expressed deep appreciation to the council chairman for the timely support.
Similarly, Mrs. Disu Dickson also thanked the council chairman on behalf of her family and other beneficiaries, and commended the administration for its people-focused governance.
